Developers to reveal more about 600-home plan
Hatch Farm LandResidents can find out more about a development planned as part of a major 4,000-home garden village in an upcoming exhibition and webinar.
Hatch Farm is planned to be one of the first parts of the Loddon Valley Garden Village, which is proposed by the University of Reading on land close to Shinfield and Lower Earley.
Hatch Farm Land Ltd plans to build about 600 homes with a new local centre, road link to Hatch Farm Way and walking, cycling and bus links.
It will hold an online webinar and drop-in exhibition in May and expects to submit a planning application in June with building potentially starting next year.
The garden village forms part of Wokingham Borough Council's housing plan, which was formally approved in September 2024.
Geoff Wilde, a director at Hatch Farm Land Ltd, said the project is a "once in a generation opportunity to create a neighbourhood that puts nature, community and long-term stewardship at its heart".
An online webinar will take place on 5 May from 19:30 BST, with a drop-in exhibition on 9 May.
That will be held at Winnersh Community Centre, Sindlesham, from 10:00 to 15:00.
