Man taken to hospital after assault outside pub

A man has been taken to hospital after being assaulted outside a pub in Beeston, police have said.

Nottinghamshire Police said it was investigating a report of a man being "struck with an object" outside The Jesse Boot, in High Road, at about 00:40 BST.

The man was left with injuries that were not currently believed to be life-altering, the force said.

An investigation is currently ongoing and police have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
