Aberdeen beach cordoned off amid 'unexploded device' fears

People are being advised to avoid part of Aberdeen beach after a suspected unexploded device was discovered.

Police were called to the scene at about 09:25 and cordons were put in place.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Officers are at the scene and the explosive ordnance disposal team have been made aware.

"A cordon is in place and the public is advised to avoid the area."
