A woman was killed and three people left seriously injured in a collision in Cheshire.

A black Audi was driving along Newcastle Road towards Congleton, near Little Moreton Hall, when it crashed into a Range Rover parked in a lay-by shortly before 22:00 BST on Friday.

A 20-year-old woman from Chell in Stoke-on-Trent, a passenger in the Audi, died at the scene, Cheshire Police said.

Three other people from the Audi suffered serious injuries and were taken to hospital. Another person, who was in the Range Rover, also received hospital treatment. Anyone with information or dash cam video footage that might help the investigation has been urged to contact police.
