A woman was knocked unconscious by an e-bike outside a bus station.

Durham Police is appealing for witnesses to trace the rider, who left the scene.

It happened at 23:00 BST on Saturday on North Road in Durham city centre and the woman was taken to hospital with injuries to her head, shoulder, arm and legs.

He thanked members of the public who gave her first aid before emergency services arrived.

"This meant a lot to the victim of this collision, and showed the true kindness of the good people of Durham."
