Leicestershire Police said it was contacted at 06:58 BST on Sunday after East Midlands Ambulance Service found Ervin Lita, who was also known as Ervin Axhami, in Compton Road.

Officers have set up a major incident portal, in which any witnesses or anyone with CCTV or dashcam can share information.

Det Insp Kevin Hames said: "Our investigation very much remains ongoing. We have a dedicated team progressing a number of enquiries as we continue to establish the full circumstances of what has happened.

"This includes CCTV analysis, forensic examination and speaking with witnesses.

"I continue to ask that anyone with any information, who has not yet spoken with us, does make contact with us as soon as possible. It is not too late so speak with us."
