M1 delays after slip road collision

A crash has shut a slip road from the M1 to the M25 in Hertfordshire.

The M1 southbound exit slip road is closed at junction 6A onto the M25 clockwise at junction 21, close to Bricket Wood.

The crash which involved a lorry and a van happened at 04:40 BST, Hertfordshire Police said.

A man in his 20s, the van driver, has been taken to hospital with serious injuries, the force added.

Emergency services attended, including ambulance and fire.

National Highways said traffic should return to normal by 09:00 BST.
