Ambulance overturns in three-vehicle crash

Three people required treatment after a multi-vehicle crash which left an ambulance overturned.

Essex Police said it was called to the Southend-bound carriageway of the A13 near Pitsea, Essex, at about 13:20 BST on Friday.

A woman, aged in her 50s and from Canvey Island, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of failing to provide a sample of breath and remained in custody.

Police said the crash also involved a car and an HGV. They said three people received treatment for injuries "which are not life-threatening."
