Police make six arrests in murder investigation
BBCSix men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was stabbed in Leicester.
Leicestershire Police said an officer in a police car was flagged down in London Road, close to Saxby Street, by a man who had "significant injuries" to his chest and stomach at about 22:45 BST on Wednesday.
Paramedics were called and the man, who was in his 20s, was taken to hospital, where he died in the early hours of Thursday, the force added.
The force said six men, aged between 18 and 33, had been arrested on suspicion of murder and one of the men had also been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class B drugs.
Police said the man sustained multiple injuries, including three stab wounds.
Following initial inquiries, police said they believed the man may have been stabbed in De Montfort Place.
A scene preservation remains inside a property in London Road while forensic examinations and searches continue.
Cordons in De Montfort Place and London Road have since been lifted, police said.
Officers have urged anyone with information to come forward.
