Soapbox race returns to city with 'new surprises'
Scott Dalton/BBCA soapbox race featuring wacky handcrafted karts launched downhill is returning to Lincoln this summer.
Up to 40 teams can take part in the Krazy Race on 22 June in Flaxengate.
This year's event will have new features including coloured smoke bombs and different "bits on the track".
The teams will compete for the best dressed, best designed and fastest soapbox titles.

The fastest 10 cars will make it through to the final, where they will battle for the winner's trophy.
Krazy Races will host the event in partnership with Lincoln Business Improvement Group.
Danny Scoffin, from Krazy Races, said: "We've been fighting the fight to come back to Lincoln.
"We're bringing new surprises to the track which will be revealed over the coming weeks.
"Expect coloured smoke bombs, different props and bits on the track."
Teams can register to take part from 08:00 GMT on 17 February.
