Police investigating sword incident make arrest

Police investigating a suspected incident of affray in Milton Keynes have made an arrest.

Officers from Thames Valley Police were called to North Ninth Street in the city last Thursday night, to reports that people had been threatened by a man with a weapon - believed to be a Samurai sword.

A 32-year-old man, from Milton Keynes, was arrested on Wednesday morning on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and assault occasioning actual bodily harm. He remains in custody.

Police have renewed an appeal for witnesses.
