M4 closed for 14 hours as firefighters tackle blaze
National HighwaysNo-one was injured during a "significant" fire involving a lorry carrying bales of hay that shut the M4 for more than 14 hours.
The motorway came to a standstill at about 11:00 BST on Monday westbound between junction 15 forBadbury and junction 16 for Swindon and stayed shut until about 01:00 on Tuesday.
Crews from Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service extinguished the blaze which included up to 15 tonnes of hay bales.
"All lanes have reopened on the M4 westbound near Swindon between J15 & J16 following a HGV fire," National Highways said.
