Man stabbed during attack by group of armed men

A man has been stabbed during an attack by a group of armed men in Doncaster.

South Yorkshire Police was called to Derwent Road in Mexborough at about 17:45 BST on Monday after reports of a disturbance.

Officers said two men had been attacked by the group, with a 22-year-old man taken to hospital with stab injuries that are not believed to be life threatening.

A number of weapons were recovered by police at the scene, according to the force, with anyone with information about the attack urged to come forward and speak to police.
