Violent disorder charge over marina migrant protest
BBCA man has been charged with violent disorder following an anti-migrant demonstration in Portsmouth.
Protesters gathered at Eastney Marina on 6 September where 120 migrants, who had crossed the Channel in a dinghy, were being transported out of the city on coaches.
Hampshire Police said Justin Dixon, 50, from Havant, had been charged with violent disorder as part of an investigation into alleged offences at the protest.
He was remanded in custody and was due to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates' Court on Tuesday afternoon.
