Kent Police said the pedestrian, in his 50s, was struck by multiple vehicles

A section of the M2 in Kent has been partially reopened following a crash in which a man died, according to police.

Kent Police said the pedestrian, in his 50s, was struck by multiple vehicles just after 21:00 GMT on Tuesday on the coastbound carriageway near Medway Services.

The M2 had been closed in both directions between junctions three and five (coastbound) and junctions five and four (London-bound), but the London-bound section has now reopened.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses and anyone with dashcam footage.

The man's next of kin has been informed, the force added.
