Body found in search for missing hillwalker on Isle of Skye

Police searching for a 45-year-old tourist who went missing while hillwalking on the Isle of Skye have discovered a body.

Hector Patemore, from the Belgian city of Ghent, was last seen at about 10:45 on Sunday when he left Glenbrittle Youth Hostel to begin his walk.

The body was found in the Cuillin area of Skye at about 14:00.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said formal identification had yet to take place but the missing man's family had been informed.

The death is not believed to be suspicious and police said a report would be sent to the procurator fiscal.
