Five men arrested on suspicion of rape

Five men have been arrested on suspicion of rape following reports of an attack in Ipswich town centre.

Suffolk Police said it was called to Curriers Lane in the early hours of Sunday.

The men, aged 27, 31, 35, 44 and 49, remained in police custody for questioning while the victim, aged in her 30s, was being supported by specialist trained officers.

Det Ch Insp Craig Brett said officers would be in the area to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
