Football fans in Shropshire will be able to watch England's World Cup matches on giant indoor screens this summer at a new shopping centre fan zone.

Organisers said the venue at Telford Centre would offer what they described as the county's "biggest indoor World Cup screening experience".

The fan zone, accessed via the Putt Putt Social entrance, will show England's group-stage matches against Croatia, Ghana and Panama, as well as other fixtures from across the tournament.

The venue will also screen matches involving teams including Germany, Spain, Argentina, Belgium and the Netherlands.

Doors will open three hours before England matches.

A spokesperson for the Telford World Cup Fan Zone said: "We wanted to create the ultimate football atmosphere for fans across Shropshire this summer.

"Whether you're coming to support England or simply enjoy the tournament with friends, the fan zone will bring together huge screens, great food and drink offers and an electric matchday atmosphere all under one roof."
