A teenage girl has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after being trapped underneath a lorry following a crash.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Wood Street in Stratford-upon-Avon at about 08:25 BST.

Paramedics arrived to find firefighters already working to free the pedestrian from underneath the vehicle, West Midlands Ambulance Service said.

She was then flown to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire for further treatment, a spokesperson added.

Warwickshire Police and the fire and rescue service have been contacted for comment.
