Man appears in court on attempted murder charge

A 43-year-old man has appeared in court charged with attempted murder after a man in his 70s was found with serious injuries.

Daniel Kent, of Broad Lane, Sutterton, near Boston, appeared at Lincoln Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.

No pleas were entered and Kent was remanded in custody until a hearing at Lincoln Crown Court, which has been set for 25 November.

The charge relates to an incident in Kirkby on Bain, near Horncastle, on Saturday.
