Police have released a CCTV image in their bid to trace a missing Fife woman who is believed to have travelled to the south of Scotland.

Caitlin Curry, 31, was last seen in the Springfield area at about 13:00 on 28 July and contacted a family member two days later but has not been in contact since.

She is described as being about 5ft 7in (1.7m) tall, of medium build with brown eyes and long, brown hair with a large mole behind her right ear and a butterfly tattoo on one of her forearms.

She has access to a car - a black Peugeot 2008 Allure, registration ML66 UGU - and is believed to have travelled to the Langholm or Gretna areas.

Police said she was reported missing on Monday and her farmily was growing increasingly concerned.

Sgt Michael Hogg said: "It is out of character for Caitlin not to be in touch with her family and as time passes concerns are growing.

"I would appeal to anyone who has seen Caitlin, her vehicle or who has any information on her whereabouts to contact us.

"I would also ask anyone who was on the A7 in the Langholm or Gretna areas over the weekend to check dash cam or private CCTV footage to see if they have anything which could assist."
