Woman, 62, critical after motorbike crash on country road

A 61-year-old woman is in a critical condition after her motorbike was in a crash with a car on a country road in Angus.

Police said she was rushed to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee on Friday afternoon after the incident on the B9128 at Craichie, near Forfar.

The woman's black Yamaha motorcycle was in a collision with a Volkswagen Bora. The driver of the car was uninjured.

Police Scotland closed the road for eight hours for accident investigations and said inquiries to establish the full circumstances were ongoing.

Sgt Brian McEwen added: "We are particularly keen to speak with any motorists who may have dash-cam footage from the area around the time of the crash."

Witnesses have been urged to contact Police Scotland.
