A 65-year-old man has been charged with murder following the death of a woman who was attacked almost seven years ago.

Suffolk Police was called to Victoria Road, Lowestoft, late on 9 September 2019.

They found 39-year-old Sarah Crush with a serious head injury. She was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge, for treatment.

Stephen Crush, formerly of Lowestoft, has been charged with murder after Sarah died on 21 December last year at the age of 45, having received 24-hour care since the attack.

He appeared at Ipswich Magistrates' Court on Friday and was remanded in custody ahead of an appearance at Ipswich Crown Court on Tuesday.
