Murder charge after man found stabbed to death

Kent Police officers were called to Knightrider Street in Maidstone on Monday

A man has been charged with murder over a fatal stabbing in Maidstone.

Kent Police said officers attended reports of an assault at a property in Knightrider Street at about 22:20 BST on Monday.

A man in his 40s was found with injuries consistent with a stab wound and died while being treated by paramedics. Two people were later arrested on suspicion of murder.

Bradley Patton, 26, of Gordon Road, Greater London, has been charged with murder and will appear at Medway Magistrates' Court later.

A 22-year-old woman who was also arrested has been released and will not face any further investigation.

Anyone who has information about the death has been urged to call Kent Police's major crime unit.
