A young peregrine falcon has been rehomed after fledging the nest too early "on multiple occasions".

Leicestershire Wildlife Hospital said people monitoring a nesting couple at Leicester Cathedral had noticed the juvenile bird - known as 4BB - leaving early "due to a male peregrine disturbing the nest".

Team members at the hospital stepped in to help 4BB, who is now being looked after "until she is ready for release back into the wild".

Peregrine falcons have been breeding at the cathedral since 2017, with this year's first egg laid on Mothering Sunday.
