Girl, 6, dies after collision with tractor

A six-year-old girl has died after a collision between a car and a tractor.

At about 17:00 BST on Friday officers were called to the Fosse Way near Moreton Morrell, Warwickshire Police said, after reports of a collision involving an agricultural tractor and a Volkswagen Tiguan.

The girl was taken to hospital with serious head injuries, and she died on Saturday morning.

The driver of the tractor, as well as the driver and passengers in the Tiguan, were shaken but not injured.

The girl's family are being supported by specially trained officers, the force said.

Police are appealing for dashcam footage from motorists in the area before the collision.
