Family pays tribute to woman found dead in flat

The family of a woman who was found dead at a flat in Leeds have said she would "light up any room she was in".

Tracy Davenport, 58, was discovered with fatal injuries at Cottingley Towers at about 23:40 BST on 24 July after a concern for safety call was made to West Yorkshire Police. She was believed to have died at the scene, officers said.

In a statement, her family described her as a "beautiful, kind, caring mother, sister, aunty, nana, niece and daughter".

Colin Mann, 52, of no fixed abode, has been charged with her murder and is due to appear at Leeds Crown Court on 27 August.

The family's tribute added: "Tracy would help anybody and put everybody before herself. She would give you her last penny.

"You will be forever loved and missed forever more. There are no words to describe the void this tragedy has left and can never again be filled."

A police spokesperson said the 58-year-old's family continued to be supported by specially trained officers.
