Company charged after man died from electrocution
Getty ImagesA company has been charged with corporate manslaughter after a guttering engineer died from electrocution while working at a residential property.
Andrew Claridge, 34, of Minster Lovell, near Abingdon, Oxfordshire, died on 14 November 2024 in Charney Road, Longworth, near Abingdon, Thames Valley Police said.
Cotswold Rainwater Services Ltd, of Northfield Farm Lane, in Witney, is charged with corporate manslaughter and failing to discharge a duty under the Health and Safety at Work Act.
The charges were brought as a result of a joint investigation between Thames Valley Police and the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). The company is due to appear at High Wycombe Magistrates' Court on 11 August.
A post-mortem examination concluded the guttering engineer died as a result of electrocution.
