Man dies after being hit by lorry

A man in his 70s has died after being hit by a lorry in Nottingham.

Emergency services were called to Bulwell Lane in Old Basford at about 09:00 BST on Wednesday following reports.

Police said the man was pronounced dead at the scene, and the driver of the lorry stopped and gave an account to officers.

Nearby roads remained closed while investigations were ongoing, the force added.

Det Sgt Charlotte Henson has urged anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
