Adult cycle training sessions will be taking place until September

The States of Guernsey has relaunched its adult cycle training sessions ahead of the summer.

The sessions delivered by the Traffic & Highway Services' Bikeability instructors are aimed at both new cyclists and people wanting to improve their road confidence.

The fortnightly sessions start on Sunday and will run until the end of September, with people who want to take part asked to fill in an application form.

Transport strategy implementation officer Holly Lindsay said the one-to-one sessions in 2025 helped support riders that had a range of cycling abilities and experience.

The training forms part of Traffic & Highway's work to support and encourage more people to travel actively and feel comfortable cycling on the island's roads.

Sessions will include both Bikeability Adult and Cycle Confidence opportunities.

The States said previous sessions had helped people develop their skills gradually, often starting in a traffic-free environment before progressing at a pace that suits them.

Lindsay said: "We are pleased to be relaunching adult cycling training this summer to encourage those who may want to improve their road confidence."

The location of the sessions will be decided by the organising team once people have signed up.
