A woman who repeatedly stabbed a man outside a pub in Lancashire has been jailed for attempted murder.

Estelle Whalley attacked her victim outside The Black Bull Inn in Penwortham, Preston, on 23 August 2025.

Whalley, 51, was sentenced to 10 years and two months at Preston Crown Court on Wednesday after being convicted of attempted murder, possession of a knife and wounding with intent.

She was also ordered to pay a victim a surcharge of £228 found guilty of breaching a suspended sentence.

At an earlier court appearance, Whalley admitted possession of a knife and wounding with intent but pleaded not guilty to attempted murder.
