Bus service proposals updated after feedback
BBCPlanned changes to bus services in Guernsey have been updated after a public consultation.
The States said the Route 61 service would be changed to provide a direct connection from the West Coast up to St Peter's Village, after concerns were raised over the withdrawal of the Route 60 service.
It said the Route 93 and Route 94 services would keep a two-hourly service, and provide a connection from Guernsey Airport to the Princess Elizabeth Hospital, if the Route 71 service was withdrawn.
The committee for the Environment and Infrastructure said the changes were to make services "more reliable and better-suited to people's needs", and was now inviting more feedback.
Once the changes to the timetable had been approved, they were expected to come into effect in September.
"We've listened carefully to the feedback we received from bus users and the wider public, and it has been invaluable in helping us refine these proposals," said Deputy Adrian Gabriel, president of the committee.
"We are pleased to be moving forward with improvements designed to make services more reliable and better-suited to people's needs, while ensuring they remain deliverable at no net additional cost.
"We want to make sure the final timetable works as well as possible for the community, and I would encourage anyone with an interest to take this opportunity to review the updated proposals and share their views."
