Gang rapper jailed for murdering content creator
Essex PoliceA gangster rapper who murdered a content creator at a music video shoot has been jailed for life.
Ellis Heather knifed Stephen Morrisson, known as Zero Ls, while filming with big snakes and a Komodo dragon for his drill song in Epping Forest, Essex.
The 30-year-old stranger was attacked after irritating the filming crew when he tried to get involved on 23 June 2020, the Old Bailey heard.
Heather, from Burnham in Buckinghamshire, was convicted of murder in June and must serve a minimum of 28 years before he is considered for release from prison.
Known as rapper Rack5, he is a member of CGM - a west London gang also called 1011 - and is already serving a prison sentence for firearms offences.
Essex PoliceMorrisson was stabbed within minutes of stumbling across the music video shoot by the Wake Valley Pond car park, near Loughton.
In a statement, his mother, Lorraine, said: "Steve was a huge part of our lives. He was happy, funny and larger than life.
"His death has left an enormous hole in our family."
Jurors in the four-week trial heard Morrisson angered Heather by appearing to drive at his entourage, sparking a confrontation in which he was stabbed.
Morrisson, who regularly posted content on Snapchat and YouTube, fled from the scene bare-chested and bloodied, and died in hospital two hours later at 22:00 BST.
Essex PoliceHeather went on to rap about what he did with the lyrics: "OL got wet and he's dead (wet, wet, wet, wet)."
He also partied after the murder, listening to music by the victim's brother, Morrisson, who has charted in the UK.
Police arrested Heather within days of the murder, but it was five years before he was charged in July 2025.
Their investigation involved analysis of more than 200 hours of CCTV footage and evidence gathered from 50 phones and five vehicles.
Det Ch Insp Greg Wood, of Essex Police, said Morrisson's family had shown "tremendous strength" in the six years since his death.
He added: "His loved ones have lived with the unimaginable pain of losing Stephen, while patiently waiting for those responsible to be held accountable."
