Motorist dies in two-car crash

A motorist has died in a two-car crash which also left another driver seriously injured.

A grey Peugeot 407 and a white Toyota Auris crashed on the A404 in Maidenhead, Berkshire, at about 21:25 BST on Saturday, Thames Valley Police said.

The Peugeot's driver died at the scene. The Toyota's driver, a man in his 50s, suffered serious injuries and remains in hospital, a police spokesperson said.

The A404 was closed southbound between the A308 at Bisham and the A4130 at Burchetts Green until about 16:30 on Sunday.
