Free outdoor yoga sessions are set to begin at a Warwickshire country park as part of a charity initiative.

Park Yoga will take place at Ryton Pools Country Park from 09:30 BST on Sunday 3 May and run every Sunday for 20 weeks.

The sessions will also return to Kingsbury Water Park for the same period, "following a highly successful run last year", said Warwickshire County Council, which manages the parks.

Park Yoga said it provided free community yoga in nature, which everyone was welcome to, regardless of age or ability.

"These free sessions are a fantastic way for people to enjoy these two popular country parks in a new way – supporting both physical and mental wellbeing while spending time outdoors, said Mark Ryder, executive director for communities at the council.

The sessions are instructor-led and there is no need to book. Children are welcome when accompanied by a parent or carer, organisers added.
