Teen treated for suspected stab injuries arrested
Google MapsAn 18-year-old man has been arrested after being treated in hospital for suspected stab wounds, police have said.
Dorset Police said the man attended Royal Bournemouth Hospital at 02:20 BST, with non-life-threatening injuries to his arm, leg and head.
He told officers he had been stopped while driving a vehicle and said two men threatened and assaulted him, the force said.
A vehicle was reported unoccupied in the middle of Lincoln Road in Bournemouth at 12:26, it added.
After being discharged from hospital, the 18-year-old was arrested after items were located during searches, said police. He remains in custody.
Det Insp Jon Sainsbury said: "We have launched a full investigation to identify those involved in this incident and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
"From our enquiries, we understand that a taxi reportedly pulled up at the scene during the incident, which is believed to have prompted the offenders to flee.
"I am keen to identify the driver of this taxi as they may have information to assist our investigation."
He urged anyone with relevant dashcam, CCTV or doorbell footage to contact the force.
