Man dies in single-vehicle crash on roundabout

A man has died following a single-vehicle crash in the early hours of the morning.

Police were called to Monkswood Way in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, at 03:10 BST after a black Kia Sportage collided with a barrier on a roundabout.

Firefighters and paramedics were also called and the driver of the car, a man in his 40s, died at the scene.

A police spokesperson said formal identification was yet to take place, but the man's next of kin had been informed.
