Two more arrests after 'boy dragged from car'
BBCPolice have made two more arrests after a teenage boy was reportedly dragged out of a Mercedes before it was stolen, said police.
Officers were called to the reported carjacking at a car park close to football fields on Lower Milehouse Lane, Newcastle-under-Lyme, at about 17:00 BST on Friday 12 June.
The black car was abandoned on the road after crashing into the central reservation on Ryecroft.
A 16-year-old girl, from Stoke-on-Trent, and a man, 23, from Newcastle, have been arrested as part of the investigation.
The man has been arrested on suspicion of vehicle theft and two counts of robbery, while the girl was held on suspicion of vehicle theft.
They were being questioned on Wednesday, Staffordshire Police said.
Two other men, aged 22 and 19, and a 17-year-old boy, all from Newcastle-under-Lyme, were arrested on Friday, on suspicion of robbery in connection with the investigation.
The 17-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, dangerous driving and failing to stop.
All three have since been released on bail.
