Ma France - Tips 20 & 21 - Football and Flowers & messages

Bonjour !

It’s time to tackle the next units; the subjects are football and flowers, so there’s something for everyone. You’ll hear lots of questions and good wishes and find out about some events in the French calendar, too.

  • Tip 20 :

Unit 20 Develop your inquisitive side! Make a set of flashcards, each with a question words on it: Qui... ? Quel... ? Qu’est-ce que... ? Où... ? Comment ... ? etc. Imagine the sort of questions you could ask with each one, when you are meeting someone new for example, or perhaps when you are booking a holiday home. If you need inspiration, a look back through the Ma France units will remind you of many more situations in which you need to ask questions.

  • Tip 21 :

Unit 21 It’s always good to be able to say just the right thing, so think about life events and key dates in your family and practise how to offer good wishes on each one. A look in the dictionary under "bon" will give you lots more possibilities, from Bonne Année, Happy New Year, and Bon appétit, Have a good meal, to Bon voyage, Have a good trip.
