Ma France - Tips 12 & 13 - House-buying and Walks

Bonjour !

Moving on from renting a gîte, you might be looking to buy a house in France. If that’s unlikely, then you can at least dream. Just tackle the next two units in which you’ll have a guided tour of a house on the market and pick up some tips to help you interpret estate agents’ language. You’ll also find out more about the glorious countryside around Marseilles.

  • Tip 12 :

Unit 12 For more practice with house descriptions, take a look at the adverts. Try describing in French the properties you find in the local paper. To see French homes for sale, just do a search on the Internet for "agence immobilière" + the name of a town. You'll find there's plenty of choice.

  • Tip 13 :

Unit 13 Wherever you walk in the countryside, be it at home or in France, practise saying what you are going to do next: on va monter au sommet, we'll go up to the summit; on va admirer la vue, we'll admire the view. Ça vaut le coup ! It's worth it!
