Ma France - Email 12 - Hotel requests and DIY

Bonjour !

In the next couple of units of Ma France you'll meet a pair of charming hotel receptionists and two men on a mission. Intrigued? Then make a start straight away.

  • Unit 22 In Unit 22, Hotel requests, Mélanie and Marie-Noëlle, the receptionists, recount some of the enquiries made by visitors; questions ranging from Est-ce qu'il y a un parking ? Is there a car park? to the more tentative Est-ce que vous pourriez me donner... ? Could you give me...? You'll learn to use the conditional tense to make these very polite requests. You'll also discover the items most left behind in hotel rooms - chaussures ou chaussettes ? Shoes or socks?

  • Unit 23 Unit 23, DIY, introduces Eric and Gilles, who left their former lives behind to renovate a house near Aix en Provence. Through them, you will learn many DIY expressions such as, le bricolage, DIY, and gratter, to scrape and find out how to explain what you hope to do in the future, for example, on souhaite aménager une kitchenette, we want to install a little kitchen. Quel boulot ! What a job!
