Ma France - Email 9 - B & B and Holidays
Bonjour !
After Lyons, a change of scene and the next couple of units will really put you in holiday mood. As well as learning how to say what you’ve done and seen and where you’ve been, you will also hear about the pretty villages and sights to visit around Marseilles and find out about winter holiday activities in the Alps.
In Unit 16, B&B, you’ll visit Alix Arnaud who offers chambres d’hôtes, B&B in Marseilles. You’ll learn expressions to explain what you’ve done or what you did, such as, j’ai visité Cassis, I visited Cassis, on a vu les villages, we saw the villages. It’s a chance too, to find out more about Alix, her visitors and the pleasures of running the B&B.
Unit 17, Holidays, features expressions to talk about where you went or where you’ve been: je suis allé en Corse, I went to Corsica; je suis allé à Londres, I’ve been in London. You’ll also learn how to say when you arrived: je suis arrivé hier, I arrived yesterday; or when you left, je suis parti à 9h30, I left at 9.30am. Don’t forget to look at the Grammar notes. They are there to help you.
Next week we'll be back with more tips. We hope you'll find Ma France useful and entertaining.
Bonne continuation !
