Halifax returned to winning ways in the National League with a 2-0 victory over struggling Solihull.
Joe Sbarra missed an early chance for the hosts but the majority of the pressure came from Halifax, with Conor Carty seeing an effort ruled out for offside and Max Metcalfe making two fine saves.
The Solihull keeper was again called on early in the second half to keep out a free-kick but he was beaten in the 55th minute when Cruz Allen capitalised on an error at the back.
Five minutes later it was two, with Tommy McDermott picking himself up after being fouled just outside the box to send a free-kick into the net.
Carty hit the bar as Halifax went close to making it three, but they comfortably saw out their first win in four games.
