    Sutton United have signed midfielder Joe Knight on a three-month loan deal from League One club Stevenage.

    The 20-year-old joined Boro in January from Brighton & Hove Albion, but did not make his debut until last month's Carabao Cup defeat by Reading.

    "A big, tall and athletic midfielder who has real quality on the ball, Joe also has a real edge," Sutton boss Chris Agutter told the club's website.

    "He's a proper competitor which will fit perfectly into our group."

    Jordan Young scored 35 goals in 88 appearances for Torquay United

    Worthing have signed striker Jordan Young from National League South side Torquay United for an undisclosed fee.

    Young, 27, has scored 35 goals in 88 appearances for Torquay since joining from Yeovil Town in October 2024.

    "Jordan has great dead-ball delivery and can score and assists goals from out of nowhere, so he's going to be a really important player for us," Worthing manager Adam Hinshelwood told the club's website.

    Torquay United said the agreement between the two clubs "also ensures that United will retain a significant financial interest in any future transfer".

    Luke Hutchinson has been with Bolton Wanderers since the age of eight

    Harrogate Town have signed Bolton Wanderers goalkeeper Luke Hutchinson on a three-month loan deal.

    The 24-year-old spent last season on loan with Altrincham and made 44 appearances in the National League.

    Hutchinson could make his debut for Town, who are second in the National League after six matches, against Tamworth on Saturday.

    Georgie Gent spent a loan spell with Motherwell in 2023-24

    Boston United have signed Barnsley wing-back Georgie Gent on a month-long loan.

    The 22-year-old, who came through the Manchester City academy, will bolster the Pilgrims' options on the left flank with Kai Mauro likely to be on international duty with Gibraltar.

    Gent has made 36 senior appearances for Barnsley but has yet to feature this season.

    He could make his Boston debut in the National League Cup against West Bromwich Albion on Tuesday.

    Harvey Macadam scored seven goals last season for Carlisle

    There have been some weird and wonderful ways for footballers to get injured over the years and now Carlisle United's Harvey Macadam can join the list.

    The midfielder was back in his first training session, recovering from a thigh injury that delayed his start to the new season.

    In chasing to keep a ball in play, the 25-year-old went to backheel it back onto the pitch and ended up suffering a hamstring injury.

    "He's done quite a bit of damage, so he's going to be quite a few weeks," Carlisle head coach Rob Elliot told BBC Radio Cumbria.

    "Harvey's a big, strong lad, he's quite robust so we'll see what the timeline is but it's not going to be in the near future."

    Carlisle have a busy September with six matches, and Macadam is now likely to miss all of them.
