    Hartlepool United have completed the loan signing of teenage midfielder Cole Deeming from West Bromwich Albion.

    Deeming, 19, will be on loan at Pools until 2 January, 2027 and is available for the home match against Woking on Saturday (15:00 BST).

    He has played once for his parent club and spent last season on loan with Truro City in the National League and then Cheltenham Town in League Two.

    "We're delighted to sign Cole," said Hartlepool head coach Lee Clark.

    "He's someone we've had an eye on for a while, and we've seen how well he did at Cheltenham.

    "He's also gained experience in this league with Truro, and the staff at West Brom speak really highly of him."

    Hartlepool United have signed goalkeeper Nathan Fisher on a free transfer.

    The 21-year-old, who was released by Middlesbrough at the end of last season, has signed a one-year contract at Victoria Park with the option of a further year.

    It comes a day after Pools signed fellow goalkeeper Max Merrick on a season-long loan from Chelsea.

    Cameron John has returned to Hartlepool United, signing a one-year contract with a club option of a second year following a loan spell with the National League side last season.

    The versatile left-sided defender scored twice in 40 appearances for Pools during last season's loan spell.

    John, 26, left York City at the end of his contract earlier this summer.

    Hartlepool United have brought in defender Liam Gibson following the expiry of his contract with Harrogate Town.

    Gibson has signed a one-year deal at Victoria Park after three seasons with the Sulphurites, with his new club holding the option of an extra year.

    The County Durham-born defender, 29, was on the books at Newcastle United as a youngster.

    Hartlepool United have signed defender Neo Eccleston from Huddersfield Town.

    Eccleston, 22, only played three times for Huddersfield after moving from Chelsea's academy but has had loan spells in League Two with Barrow and Grimsby Town.

    He has signed a one-year contract at Victoria Park, but the club has the option of another year.

    Hartlepool have signed striker Terry Bondo on a one-year deal.

    The 19-year-old was a free agent after being released by Blackpool at the end of the season.

    He made 11 appearances for the Seasiders and had loan spells in non-league with Matlock Town, Marine and King's Lynn Town.

    Hartlepool have signed former Brighton defender Charlie Penman on a one-year deal.

    The 20-year-old was released by the Premier League side earlier this summer.

    He never made a senior appearance for the Seagulls but played nine times for Aldershot during a loan spell with the National League side last season.
