Southend Pier
Southend Pier is the longest pleasure pier in the world at 1.34 miles (2,158m). Since the first wooden pier was built in 1830 it has proved a true survivor, living through fires, boat crashes, two World Wars and economic decline. Today's new look pier entrance was completed in 2003.
