Tonight will be cloudy and breezy. Spells of rain will spread northeastwards into the mainland, falling heavy at times in western and southern areas. Turning gradually cloudy on the Isles but dry.

Wednesday

Tomorrow will be breezy and cloudy with spells of rain, heavy at times. In the mainland, it will turn drier by the end of the day with late sunny spells.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday

Thursday will stay breezy but will turn drier and sunnier. However, the mainland and Orkney may see a few showers develop in the afternoon. Friday will turn gradually cloudy and wet on the mainland. Drier with variable cloud on the Isles, with showers arriving in the evening. Saturday will see variable cloud and sunny spells. The odd shower on the mainland. Staying breezy.
