Tonight, the Isles will see more in the way of cloud and outbreaks of rain. The mainland will have occasional showers, these heavy at times, but there will also be some clear intervals at times.

Sunday

Tomorrow, Orkney will have some sunny spells at first, but cloud and rain will move in later on. Dull and wet in Shetland. Variable cloud and scattered showers on the mainland, with a risk of thunder.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday

On Monday, the Isles will be mostly dry with variable cloud. The mainland, after some sunny spells to start, will turn increasingly cloudy as the day progresses, with rain arriving in the afternoon. Unsettled with showers on Tuesday and Wednesday, these frequent on the mainland, where they could turn heavy and thundery in the afternoon. The Isles will escape drier, however.
