I would be trusting the sports science staff. One of the hardest things is everything is timed when you go and play.

Your nutrition, sleep, and you're ready to peak at the maximum time. How much do you cool down?

What are the protocols being taken by the sports nutrition guys?

With these NFL stadiums, I know they have warm-up rooms within them. They have big areas where they can keep warm and do exercises.

    No, no, no, no...

I feel like I've turned into Michael Fish.

It's raining again. Heavily. And storms remain in the area.

No changes for the moment, next update in another 20 minutes.

That takes us to 7:25pm local time. Then you've still got to factor in the players warming up for another 15 minutes.

We've now reached the stage where it has pretty much stopped raining. But the match remains suspended because there is a threat of storms in the area.

The message on the big screen reads: "The second half is delayed due to adverse weather conditions. The game will resume when deemed safe. Please shelter in place."

Iraq's fans - and there are plenty of them - are waving flags and singing and dancing.

  6. Fifa statementpublished at 00:04 BST

BBC Radio 5 Live senior football reporter at Philadelphia Stadium

I've just been handed a Fifa statement:

"Due to the adverse weather conditions and the risk of lightning in the vicinity of the stadium, the Fifa World Cup match between France and Iraq has been suspended.

"A 30 minute break has been announced, however the situation is still being observed to determine if further delays are anticipated.

"Fifa will follow the safety protocols established by the local authorities and the match will resume as soon as it is safe to do so.

"The safety and security of all individuals is Fifa's priority. We thank all fans for their understanding and co-operation."

BBC One have gone to the news. Not sure why, it's not like anything has happened today...

The stream at the top of this page is showing a live feed of the stadium if you'd rather watch that.

Kylian Mbappe is part of the generation which is part of that fearless factor.

I remember when I started you had to give respect to the older generation when you came in, and you were not trying to do a nutmeg the old men [in the squad].

This generation, they have respect, but differently. Don't talk about age, talk about performance.

    Another announcement over the speakers.

"At this time severe weather remains in the area and the match continues to be suspended."

A Fifa spokesman tells media inside the ground: "The match will resume when it is safe to do so."

    No change for the moment.

The next update will come in the next 10 minutes.

Any talk of now starting at 7pm [midnight UK time], I would suggest is going to be unlikely because you have to get the supporters back to their seats and you also have to factor in the players having another 15 minutes to warm up again.

Wonder how long we're going to be waiting. This is the first time a match has been affected by the weather at this World Cup.

Obviously it's on the game I'm doing. I was doing the England v Costa Rica friendly when it was delayed by the weather too.

    Cursed.
