That late goal could make a big difference for Senegal's hopes of getting to the 32.

Second half was once again a great example of what we've seen at this tournament, drama right up until the last moment.

Lost in the disappointment of defeat, but Ismaila Sarr has equalled Papa Bouba Diop as the all-time top scorer for Senegal at the World Cup with three goals.

Haaland is in fantastic form, the movement is good, the sharpness, the strength to move away from people, he's as dangerous as any.

He took both his goals superbly well.

Norway hold on... and are through to the last-32.

Now that slow burner absolutely caught fire.

It's a deserved win, but boy they had to grit their teeth late on.

Marcus Pedersen was gifted the first-half opener by Kalidou Koulibaly and Edouard Mendy and Erling Haaland doubled the lead just after the turnaround after a clinical break.

Ismaila Sarr pulled one back with a bustling finish moments later but Haaland steered home a volley before the hour which proved enough, despite Sarr's late second setting up a grandstand finale.

Senegal improved, and if they play like that against Iraq they might win by enough to sneak through as a third-placed qualifier, but another night of frustration for Pape Thiaw.

    It's all Senegal now.

They have a corner and the Norway players are flagging with cramp, much to Senegal's frustration.

Martin Odegaard is hauling Marcus Pedersen off the pitch to prevent him needing to spend a minute on the touchline.

    Or will they?

It's another clinical piece of finishing from Ismaila Sarr who grabs his second after Kristoffer Ajer misses a headed clearance.

It allows Nicolas Jackson to tuck to Sarr in the box to control and lash past Orjan Nyland.

Nervy six minutes coming up now for Norway.

The sky is lightening here but this has been worth staying up to watch. Norway had scored 7 goals in WC history before 2026.

Plenty of time for two goals, in theory... but not sure Senegal would get them.

    How is that not four?

Norway had gone half an hour without a shot but Andreas Schjeleerup dances in from the left of the box and scoops into the middle before the ball breaks to Oscar Bobb whose thunderous effort from 10 yards is somehow headed over the bar by Pathe Ciss. Miraculous clearance.

From the resulting corner Leo Ostigard heads a good chance over the bar - he scored a similar one against Iraq in the opening game too.

Very disappointing performance from the African teams so far. flashes of good play here and there but limited end results and very naive defending.

That was a very acrobatic attempt, asking a lot of himself but it was a decent attempt.

I'd be surprised if VAR aren't checking that, they should be.

Tell you what, Martin Odegaard is enjoying himself leading this Norway side.

He's showing glimpses of the razzle-dazzle Arsenal fans might remember, but he can't find a way through the defence on this occasion.

Senegal break and a cross into the box is acrobatically volleyed via a deflection, maybe off an arm, into the path of Nicolas Jackson, whose shot is smothered by Orjan Nyland, but the flag was up. Not sure there's anything doing with the handball shout either, to be honest.

Pape Matar Sarr's eyes light up as a cross from the left is nodded out to him just outside the box but his ambitious first-time effort flies high, very high, over the bar.

Would have been a successful field goal if the New York Giants or Jets were playing a home game in the NFL.

Norway are doing a good job of holding on to the ball and the fight looks to be ebbing out of the Senegalese.

Mory Diow smashes a backpass into Erling Haaland as he tries to charge him down, but the sub keeper gets away with this one.

He's making a habit of racing towards keepers in these circumstances though, and earned his second goal against Iraq from doing so.
